Maalhosmadulu Dhekunuburi (Baa Atoll)
Baa Atoll is also an administrative division of the Maldives. It comprises of three separate natural atolls – Southern Maalhosmadulu Atoll (which consists of 9 inhabited islands), the FasdÅ«therÄ“ Atoll (squeezed in between the two Maalhosmadulu Atolls and separated from north Maalhosmasdulu Atoll by Hani Kandu) and the smaller natural atoll known as Goifulhafehendhu Atoll. Located on the west of the Maldives atoll chain, it is made up of 75 islands of which 13 are occupied with a populace of over 11,000 people. The remaining 57 islands are uninhabited, and eight more islands being developed as resorts.
